Luigia – Now Open!

Family style pizza & pasta just opened on Talstrasse. Bright lights, big tables, old school music, open kitchens and delicious Italian meals are what you’ll find at this new downtown Zurich Restaurant.

Loved already by our neighbors in Geneva, Luigia (finally) made their way to Zurich and we couldn’t be more excited to share the news with you!

Top Reasons we Love Luigia

The Menu. If your table mates are up for sharing, you are in luck as the menu is overwhelmingly delicious, it’s hard to pick just once! There’s a yummy selection of appetizers, pastas, main courses and a plethora of pizzas. We loved trying the Melanzana alla parmigiani and Paccheri al ragù napoletano and can’t wait to go back and share the Branzino croccante with an elegant Trebbiano Spoletino.

Pizza Party. There’s over 40 different kinds of pizza to choose from! Using dough that’s risen after 56 – 72 hours, the menu is broken out into different section focusing on Grandma’s secret sauce, Caserta Buffalo Mozzarella pizzas, tomatoes granted the Protected Denomination of Origin certificate and there’s even cheese-less pizzas…all cooked right in front of you at the wood burning oven. We’ll take one of each please!

No Reservations Needed. We are sooo over getting the “sorry, we’re booked” or having to coordinate plans 3 months in advance and really love a bit of spontaneity in our lives! Thank goodness, Luigia doesn’t take reservations and they are so big (500 square meters in fact), you really shouldn’t fret about a long line…and if so, there’s always the bar!

Come Along Kids. There’s a dedicated room for families but if you’re in the main restaurant, you really don’t have to worry about the kids being too loud. Just send them for popcorn and a movie. Yes, seriously, they have a mini movie theatre for the little ones! It’s right next to the Foosball and Arcade Game Station.
