She brings Parisian fashion to Zurich.
There is something mysterious about women from Paris…their subtle confidence, flirtatious spirit and keen sense of timeless fashion. Fortunately for us, Caroline Bodmer has brought the Parisian lifestyle to Zurich via her collections: Ann&Line.
Beyond the feminine style she produces, we admire her ability to balance motherhood with managing a showroom and delivering her fashions to select boutiques throughout Switzerland.
We caught up with Caroline to see what makes her tick.
GG: What, or who, inspired you to enter the field of work you are in now?
Caroline Bodmer: I wanted to be a designer since I was a child, but my parents told me to learn a „real job“. Therefore I worked as an Osteopath and physiotherapist and even had my own practice. As I got to know my husband and decided to follow him to Switzerland, I thought it would be the perfect moment to start something new. I decided to follow my passion and started a fashion blog. Through it, I shared my love for fashion and beautiful things. In summer 2013, I presented some of my own items, and received such a positive feedback which encouraged me to launch my own fashion label. My dream finally came true.
GG: Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
Caroline Bodmer: I really don’t like the colour yellow.
GG: Tell us about you out on the town…any favorite restaurants or boutiques that we should checkout?
Caroline Bodmer: If you like special locations I can recommend the restaurant Razzia in Zurich or the restaurant Portofino in Thalwil. What definitely should check out are my favorite brunch spots: Grand Café Lochergut, Cafe des Amis and Yuma.
GG: How do you keep organized?
Caroline Bodmer: To be honest I’m more a creative person and not super organized. But I have a great team who helps me with organizing. In addition my husband supports me with the administrative work.
GG: What advice would you give to your younger self?
Caroline Bodmer: Never let anyone stop you from realizing your dream. Follow your passion until your dream comes true.
