Before the days turn cool and dark, let’s hit up all our favorite family friendly nice-weather hot spots!
Hold onto summer a little longer and enjoy just one more Gelato…or maybe 2 more….And where better than the lovely Gelati Tellhof with its kid friendly atmosphere and tasteful decor. We absolutely love their Gelato! It’s flavorable and colorful, exactly how ice cream should be. And the nicely selected toys for the kids makes us feel right at home.
A secret haven for vegans and organic food lovers. What we love about their spread of ice cream is the exotic flavors such as spirulina and cassis and super way to take in super foods like their house made soy ice cream.
It always feels a bit like a meditation center which we certainly won’t say no to giving the kids a dose of calmness. Mix that with the friendly staff, outdoor seating and play corner and what better place to enjoy gelato galore!
Checks all the boxes for a day out in the park. For foodies, the restaurant offers an CHF 8 kids pasta and CHF 16 hearty salad & quiche. Absolutely delicious! Finish it off with 100% fruit Tutsie Popsicle that they just started selling – hooray!
Now. Play Time. There is an indoor play corner, with a big wooden toy box while outside kids have a blast at the playground, splash area, climbing trees and sandbox.
Open until 16 September, this is a must before summer ends! With a Hiltl Restaurant and a CHF 5 kids fill-it-up all you can bowl, no wonder the popularity of this place. The kiddie and baby pool is friendly to all ages and sizes. Behind the kiddie area is a mysterious bamboo jungle to discover for those in seek of adventure. You can literally get lost in the depth of that thing! It’s a lot bigger than it looks. Next to the kiddie pool is a playground fit for the older kids.
But the best part is the sandy lakeside beach – who needs a vacation when you can come here!
GZ Wipkingen / Vegan Brunch
Fun for everyone! There are two mini kiddie pools for the little ones to splash around in and a spectacular sandbox with water facet to create the perfect concoction for mud pies. For the older kids, a gigantic playground with much to explore, climb, swing and slide on.
The first Sunday of every month there is a vegan brunch. On other days the cafe is next door with various warm and cold drinks, even lupine coffee for breastfeeding moms, who drink decaf. And of course, ice cream as well as other snacks.
