Mix up the weekday workout, sweat out the office stress and try these 3 new classes being offered in Zurich.
Barre class is a combination of three workouts: pilates, ballet and yoga. Classes begin with a warm up focusing on postural strength and alignment, followed by a series of upper body exercises using light weights and body weight. The ballet barre is used to sculpt the lower body, followed by intense balance work and isolated abdominal work. The class targets every muscle in the body with strong focus on arms, core (abs) and glutes (butt).
Zuri Girl Tip: Classes are pre and post natal friendly and they plan to add a mommy and me class in early summer!
Athleticflow was created by husband & wife team Nora & Simon combining yoga with high intensity and functional training. A new movement that includes power, strength and speed but doesn’t forget flexibility training. 60-minute classes are taught at Indigo Fitness and Holmes Place Jelmoli & Oberrieden.
Zuri Girl Tip: An awesome retreat in St. Moritz is coming up this summer!
Breakletics is a combination of breakdance and fitness. You will have fun feeling the rhythm and make great movements. Starting with a nice stretch, the class involves various arm, leg, wrist, and core workouts. You’ll love the fun head stands & sweaty squats. Leandro Fornito is the instructor teaching at Balboa Studio and Atha Yoga throughout the week.
Zuri Girl Tip: The Breakletics Website has videos to give you a sense of what to expect. We worked up a sweat just watching it!
