Hawaiian Healing Arts in Meilen

posted on | by Zuri Girl

“Live life and not be lived by life” is what we learnt from Noëlle Delaquis, formative psychologist and co-founder of AlohaSpirit…a praxis in Meilen for the past 25 years, focusing on Hawaiian healing arts helping our mind, body and soul to stay interconnected through massage and Hula Dance.

When we recently met Noëlle, she stressed the need of connection throughout the entire body – the bones, joints, mind and soul, believing if we are too relaxed or too tense, everything will be out of balance.

Noëlle passionately believes in the power of balance and through ancient Hawaiian healing techniques for the past 25 years her family has helped women and men achieve this sense of connectivity.

Lomilomi Massage

A 2-hour Hawaiian ceremony with a view of the Swiss Alps!

Graciously accepting an invitation to try the massage, we changed into a traditional sarong and were led into Noëlle’s Hawaii, a quaint room softly singing Hawaiian music and pristine nature images overlooking Lake Zurich to snow-capped Horgenberg.

The massage is stimulating and invigorating yet relaxing. Beginning with warm towels and a soothing chant, Noëlle massages the body as a whole with long, gentle strides focusing on deeper pressure points at times and soothing stretches and twists at others.

We’re relaxed, deepened and “awake” to a peaceful mind and a stronger body.

Hula Dance

Noëlle leads 2 evening classes per week as well as monthly courses and an annual workshop. Women from all over the world gather in Meilen to focus on strength physically and spiritually and have on occasion performed nationally and internationally.

A great idea if you’re looking to spice up your weekly routine, learn something new and challenge your mind and body.

Noëlle hopes that you’ll join her to grow, change and heal and we do too.

Aloha ladies!
