Winter Mountain Adventures

No lust for skiing? No worries. Switzerland has oh so many winter wonderland activities that don’t involve strapping on two pieces of fiberglass. Be inspired by our 2019 Bucket List for Winter Mountain Fun in Switzerland.

Pro-Am Golf Tournament. Yes, that’s right. You read it correctly. Golf in Winter! The sunny Valais village of Crans Montana hosts an annual tournament in early February on the Jack Nicklaus course. We hear a Michelin Star Chef tees off the week! How cool ski, golf and gourmet dining all in the same week…sign us up!!

Outdoor Cinema. Those sunset movie moments we love don’t have to wait until summer. Lenzerheide lights up the big screen with family, classic & blockbuster cinema screenings on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays in February during their BDO SNOW CiNEMA festival . Straw seats & blankets included!

Hiking with Huskies. Visit the home of 30 Siberian Huskies and allow them to guide you on a snowshoe tour of the Muotathal mountains followed by a fondue meal and sleep in an icy Igloo built for 2!

Snowkiting. You know those adrenaline adventure seeking friends that just can’t seem to get enough of heart-pumping fun? We’ve got their winter fix…Snowkiting on Lake Silvaplana. The elegant Engadine village of St. Mortiz gets even glitzier as colorful kites strapped to ski / snowboard wearing passengers descend upon the ice-frozen lake. Oh my…perhaps we will save this for viewing pleasures only!
