Easter is just a jump, hop, and a skip away!  Are you ready?  Here are some fun ideas for you and your family to do over Easter weekend, as well as where to shop to fill up those Easter Baskets.  Enjoy and make sure to leave a comment to share your favorite way to spend the holiday weekend!

Anything and Everything Chocolate.  Head on over to some of the well known chocolate factories and shops around Zurich to buy or even make your own chocolates this holiday!  Did you know you can paint your own chocolate bunny at Aeschbach Chocolatier?  Check out the Easter section of chocolate bunnies at Läderach, OMG, yummy! Or order personalized chocolates from SAY CHOCOLATE for your children!

Have you ever done the walking tour of chocolate shops in Zurich?  Check them out Zuri Girl Ashley’s recommendations here!

Easter Brunch.  Head on over to Fork & Bottle on Sunday, April 1 or Monday, April 2 for a delicious Easter brunch! Brunch will be served until 2pm with a delicious seasonal menu. Enjoy your Easter brunch with family and friends and make your today at reservations@forkandbottle.ch. There is also a great Easter brunch at the Hotel Marriott.

Take the Easter Train! A train ride between Wiedikon and Sihlwald stopping for a family fun forest Easter Egg Hunt on April 1st. Every child will receive a small Easter package! Check out pricing and more information on the Easter Train website. Tickets sell out fast, so we also recommend the Easter program at SihlCity…The mall offers a fun and exciting Easter program for children until March 31st!

Easter program at the Zoo.  Head on over to Zurich’s zoo and celebrate the Easter season as a family!  The Osterprogramm is on 28 March starting at 15.00. More info.

A day at the Museum in Aargau.  Have you ever checked out the Naturama Museum in Aargau?  Their Easter program is excellent!  You and your children will learn about bunnies, possibly witness chicks hatching, and be able to decorate Easter cookies.  Even better, there is free admission for kids below six years of age!

Zurich’s Traditional Easter (Zwänzgerle).   Children of all ages can participate in egg tapping, a hard-boiled egg throwing contest where the children throw the eggs and the Adults throw a small coin!  If the coin penetrates the egg, you win!  If the Adult fails, the child keeps the coin! Zwänzgerle Details.

Be your own bakery.  Celebrate Easter by baking you favorite Easter biscuits right at home.  Check out the blog, Little Zurich Kitchen, on making your own Osterhäsli (Easter Bread Bunnies) at home!
