This March, the Thai restaurant Blue Monkey has a new concept.

Located in the heart of Niederdorf, at the historic building of “Zunfhaus zur Schneidern”, it’s three floors have been redecorated with a contemporary flair.

Super Chefs

The menu was conceived by the star Chef Waipop Saepueng – the Jamie Oliver from Thailand – who is in Zurich for the next six weeks to train the restaurant’s team. Afterwards, Christian Tanner (former Chef from Gerolds Garten) will be in the lead.

Love to Lunch

Now the customers have the option to order dishes made of local organic ingredients. At lunch, they offer “Khantok” – the Thai version of Japanese “Bento” – and is a good way to try an assortment of delicious Thai food with a fair price (between 22.- and 27.- CHF)

Private Parties

The Zunfhaus’ saloon can host closed events for up to 140 guests and in the Summer one can enjoy the terrace.

Date Night

For the bohemians, the Monkey Bar and “Fumoir” offers classic drinks and Cuban cigars in a nostalgic atmosphere.

Zuri Girl Tip

The sympathetic manager Kesang Soghatsang will make sure not to leave one wish unfulfilled. This Zuri Girl personally got great vegan options, just ask!
