Many pregnant women usually feel defeated with their fitness routine. If you have been pregnant before, you already know this. You know how important it is to stay fit and active for the challenges to come, yet it is not easy to know what to do that is best for your changing body and safe for your baby. Sometimes the feeling of exhaustion and weakness can easily discourage to workout. If you are in this situation, do not worry, this is normal, you might just need a bit of help and support.

This is where Booster [Pilates+] comes into play. Zuri Girl was among the first to try out Booster 2 years ago, when they introduced the Lagree Fitness Method to Zurich in their first studio location. This full body workout is a challenging workout, but all in a safe and low impact environment. It is done on a unique piece of equipment called the Megaformer™ with help from a motivating coach who guides you smoothly and with care through the exercises in small group classes (8 max).

This Zuri Girl personally visits Booster regularly (2-3 times per week for 40 classes). The fitness method helped a lot after pregnancy, revealing toned muscles under the nearly 20kg of extra baby weight put on during the pregnancy! 

Booster [Pilates+] classes are also great whilst pregnant because the entire class focuses on full body moves – meaning that even while you target your legs or your arms, you’ll still be getting in some solid core work without having to do something that might put too much strain on your precious belly – like a crunch! Classes are challenging, but low impact and adapted throughout your pregnancy as your body evolves. These are fantastic classes for staying in shape throughout nearly the whole course of the pregnancy!

Booster [Pilates+] is now offering a dedicated Pre-Post Natal class: [Pilates+] Fit 4 Baby, a class providing low impact, smooth movement exercises in a personalized, small group setting, designed to support the mother’s transformation through each trimester and post birth. These 50 minutes classes help strengthen stabilizing muscles, reduce back pain, improve balance and provide less discomfort due to skeletal and muscular imbalances for the mother.

[Pilates+] Fit 4 Baby class is offered weekly on Saturdays at 15.00 in Studio Seefeld (Seefeldstrasse 281, 8008 Zurich) and on Thursdays at 9.00 in Studio Forum (120 Badenerstrasse, 8004 Zurich). The first class is free.
