Zurich Expat Expo

posted on | updated on | by Zuri Girl

If you’re new to Zurich or just itching to immerse more into the city, then the Expat Expo is a MUST! It provides first hand information and introduction to hundreds of friendly faces in the city. Discover schools, fitness programs, kids activities, clubs, theatre groups, social programs and plenty of fun ideas on things to do.

It’s free to visit and you can take your time roaming the expo hall, speaking to business owners and gathering information.

Zuri Girl had a chance to chat with a few Expat Expo Exhibitors. We had fun learning that Emma from Sail YSL loves the restaurant Zeughauskeller and how Michelle from Quality English Books loves Zurich for the “variety and culture and is not far from everything you could want to do from mountain escapes and skiing to the Opera and other downtown events.  They really enjoy the local celebrations as well as shopping, restaurants and the ever-reliable public transportation system.  They also really like the availability and quality of fresh foods in the markets.”

Find out more from from these ladies and mark your calendar for this year’s Expat Expo…

What do you offer?

Robin from All For Kids…All For Kids is an online shop and great resource for families. We have a unique selection of toys, crafts, games & books for creative kids who love to learn. Plus our monthly blog, Facebook and Pinterest pages have tons of ideas for parents, many of which are free.

Michelle from Quality English Books…We offer English Books for children, from birth to young adult.  We also offer large events for schools to make access to books easier for families and the schools earn lots of free books for their libraries.

Emma from Sail YSL…Sail YSL is the only sailing school in the country specialising in sailing in English in Switzerland. We focus on the UK’s RYA dinghy and yachting schemes, both on Lake Zurich as well as further afield in Greece and Gibraltar. We also offer island hopping holidays, as well as corporate events. Our raison d’être is to take people from never having sailed before to a level where they are confident to sail independently and even charter a boat on their own.

What are you excited about for the Expat Expo?

Robin All For Kids…We’ve participated in Expat Expos for 10 years. It’s a great opportunity to see old friends, meet new people, and explore ways to collaborate with other small businesses. This year we’ll be raffling off a CHF 40.- All For Kids Gift Certificate at the end of the day. The winner will be notified by email.

Michelle from Quality English Books…Meeting the exhibitors is always interesting and fun.  You can find out about many services and products at one time which is convenient.  Helping people new to the area is also very rewarding and new friendships are often formed through the Expos.

Emma from Sail YSL…The chance to introduce sailing to new people. Also I love catching up with fellow exhibitors and meeting new ones, and seeing the range of businesses that English speakers are running in the area.
